We’ll cover: Two strategies for delivering positive, growth-focused speech evaluations A framework for evaluating both novice and experienced speakers Essential do’s and don’ts for a successful General Evaluator, with practical tips to enhance meetings and foster leadership skills in members, no matter their role\nPathways; Pick Topics, Pick Projects; – Paul Lubinski, DTM\nSummary: Are you or your club’s members struggling with what to do for your next Pathways project, or how to select the right project for your interests and preferred speech topics?  That is a valid concern.\nWe will discuss as a group the alignment of your interests, your goals, and your preferred speech topics, and how to support that alignment with Pathways project options.  We will look at examples from our own experiences of our hobbies, our work or studies, our volunteer activities, anything important to us.  Then we’ll discuss which projects from which levels can support those examples.  Along the way, we’ll look at some features of the new learning management system and related resources.\nKey takeaways:\n* Multiple Pathways level / project combinations are available as options for topics of importance to you.\n* Each project is an opportunity to learn and to apply that learning to what you’re already passionate about and what you already need to do.\n* After this dialogue with your fellow session participants, you can engage in similar dialogue with individual\nmembers of your club.\nSession 2 (2-3pm)\nSession 2 choices:\n Key Steps to Plan Successful (In Person) International and Evaluation Contests – Linda Dorn, DTM\nSummary:     The spring International and Evaluation contests are required to be held IN PERSON at the Area, Division, and District levels. Attend this session to learn how to plan and execute both contests from A-Z. Attendees will receive a Speech Contest Planning Guide with helpful resources.\n3-5 Key Points Attendees Will Take Away from the Presentation Attend this session to learn: *Key steps to plan each contest *Required roles for each contest (remember, the evaluation contest requires a test speaker) *Where to find contest resources * Requirements for contestants *Scripts to use for Chief Judge and Contestant Briefings And MORE!\nMastering Toas​tmasters Reports: Introduction to Excel and Pivot Tables– Stephen Krutzfeldt\nSummary: During this course we will be covering some beginner as well as intermediate and advanced reporting capabilities built into Microsoft Excel. The purpose of this presentation is to arm the participants with the knowledge and resources needed to get more out of Toastmasters reports.\nWe will cover:\n\n\nHow to run reports from the Toastmasters website\n\n\nHow to Filter and Sort Data\n\n\nIntro to Pivot Tables\n\n\nGraphs and Charts\n\n\nQ and A\n\n\n
